Little Ceasar’s Pizzeria Sued for Selling Pork to Muslim!

A muslim man currently residing in Detroit Michigan has filed a 100 million dollar lawsuit against “Little Caesars” pizzeria for misleading advertising. The suit claims that the customer in question requested “Halal” pepperoni on his pizza but was served pork on two separate occasions. For those who are not familiar with the term “Halal” it is an Arabic word which translates to “permissible”, meaning it is lawful for consumption under islamic dietary law. Pork however is not lawful for consumption under islamic law, hence the lawsuit. Although many are already categorized this story as yet another account of an opportunistic charlatan filing a frivolous lawsuit, those of us who understand the sanctitity of religious dietary restrictions will not be so dismissive.

Many of today’s Christians may be surprised to know that the dietary restrictions practiced by many Muslims today were first recorded in the Holy Bible millennia before the rise of Islam.

Leviticus 11:7-8, 7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

Deuteronomy 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

Leviticus 11:46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
