Connecticut Pastor Drops Dead after Confessing Infidelity!

Bishop Bobby Davis, founder of Miracle Faith World Outreach Church in Bridgeport, Ct met an untimely death just moments after confessing his marital infidelity to the congregation. It is believed that the stress of the situation triggered a fatal heart attack which killed the pastor in front of his wife and a crowd of bewildered parishioners. While many have already begun to debate possible causes of death, the Holy Bible clearly states that “The Wages of Sin is Death”.

Exodus 20:14
Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Leviticus 20:10
And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 22:22
If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

Proverbs 6:32
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

In the famous Biblical account of St. John chapter 8, Jesus forgives the woman caught in the act of Adultery. The Lord then instructs the woman to “Go and Sin No More”. In this encounter, Jesus not only confirms his power to forgive sin but also admonishes us to depart from our iniquities.

John 8
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

On the contrary, when we as individuals or as a congregation reject the mercy and judgments of God we bring wrath and punishments upon ourselves. In 1st Corinthians 11 the apostle Paul warns the Church that many will be weak , sickly and even die as punishment for our wicked and impenitent hearts.

1st Corinthians 11
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Although Bishop Davis is dead we must remember that those of us who are breaking the Lord’s commandments are worthy of the same fate. It is our prayer that this lesson will lead you to repentance and remission of sins in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
