The Path to Salvation

If you ask almost anyone who’s into a church or a religion whether or not they want salvation, they would tell you yes. There are many churches and groups that claim they have the one and only path to salvation. With so many churches and groups having this claim, how does one go about making the decision who to join?

Christ gives us the simple answer.

Matthew 7:15-18 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. [Meaning by the things that people do] Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

We go by peoples actions; the things that we see them do. Do they go in line with how the bible says that we’re supposed to live our lives?

Some people like to make the excuse that nobody is perfect and people make mistakes, so they continue to follow men that are undeniably wicked, evil and demonic in the eyes of God-which is to that person’s own destruction because they are blind to what God’s word says.

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ and no one else and he also has the preeminence in ALL things.

Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Christ having the preeminence in all things means that we follow what he told us to do and not run to the law of Moses, as an example. So right now there’s a doctrine which is spreading like wildfire in which a lot of people believe that a man can have more than one wife and people overlook what Christ told us in Mark 10:6-8 where it’s only one wife that he talks about. Following that doctrine of having multiple wives is us not having Christ as the preeminence in all things.

Other examples include, churches that teach that being gay is ok in the eyes of God. Dating and sleeping with different men/women until you find the right one is ok, when both of these examples goes against what Christ taught us in Mark 10:6-8.

Following these type of doctrines will not lead us to salvation.

Matthew 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
