“We have the first African-American
president!” “This is the Black man’s time now!” “Things are going to change for
Blacks all over the world!” These are statements that are commonly heard amongst
the so-called minorities today when discussing the current political climate.
They feel because the president is of African descent, that there is a
connection between him and the people that were sold as slaves throughout the
Americas. Were the Africans selling other Africans or have we been lied to and
deceived since we were brought to these lands as slaves? Why is it important to
know this? The Holy Bible has the answers to these questions and many others.
Deuteronomy 1:11
“These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the
wilderness…” Deuteronomy 28:68 “And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again
with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more
again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen,
and no man shall buy you.”
Joel 3:3-6 “And they have cast lots
for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine,
that they might drink. 4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon,
and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye
recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own
head;… 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold
unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7 Behold, I
will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your
recompence upon your own head:
The scriptures prophesied that the
Israelites would go into slavery on ships for our disobedience to
the Heavenly Father. “Tyre, Zidon, and the coasts of Palestine” is referring to
the African and Arab nations that participated in selling the Israelites to the
Greeks! Africans were not selling their own people; they were selling the
Israelites to be slaves. Was the 1600’s the first time that we were in slavery
under an African nation? No read
Exodus 1:13-14 “And the Egyptians made the children
of Israel to serve with rigour: 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard
bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all
their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.”
We served the Egyptians in slavery by
building their cities and working in the fields in the exact same manner that we
built up the Americas and worked in the fields picking cotton and other crops.
Why is this information relevant in these times? It is important to know because
the lord tells us:
Jeremiah 10:2 “Thus saith the LORD,
Learn not the way of the heathen…” (This scripture is particularly referring to
the Babylonians which is another African nation.)
Leviticus 18:2-3 “Speak unto the
children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God. 3 After the
doings of the
land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the
land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye
not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.”
Exodus 11:7 “But against any of the
children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that
ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and
Israel.”
Psalms 96:5 “For all the gods of the
nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.”
Because we have believed the lie that
we are Africans, we have taken on their customs, traditions, and philosophies
thinking that we were making a connection to our past. Many of our people
worship their gods and ancestors which we should not follow as Israelites
because they are contrary to the commandments. We seek to learn about African
history, laws, and customs, but our true history and the laws that we must
follow to change our lives are written in the Bible. No president or king can
save us or better our conditions. We must repent and follow Christ’s example of
righteousness if we truly want to improve the conditions in which we are living.
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation
in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.”
